The must-see places while in Paris!

The Louvre museum, Notre Dame cathedral, Chateau de Versailles, etc. are just a few of the places to see while you are in the cultural center of the world. France is a country endowed with many activities to do. However, your travel itinerary should never be short of the Eiffel tower because it is possibly the world’s most visited monument.

Your travel itinerary cannot go without this one. The Eiffel Tower is the symbol of Paris, and it would be a flat out blasphemy to not at any rate pass by and take a snap of it. 325 meters high (or 1066 ft), the monument was erected for the Paris World Exhibition of 1889 by Gustave Eiffel. 

It held the world’s most elevated structure record until 1930, when the Chrysler Building was constructed in New York City. Today it is the second most visited monument in France, directly after the Notre-Dame-de-Paris house of God. 

On your way down Avenue des Champs-Elysées don’t miss the Arc de Triomphe!

Another demonstration of the power of the French is the Arc de Triomphe. It was requested by Napoleon Bonaparte to honour the triumph of the Battle of Austerlitz in 1806. 

Today it celebrates the First World War and holds the fire of the Unknown Soldier.  The Arc de Triomphe likewise looks over Paris, the Avenue des Champs-Elysées specifically, known to be the most excellent road in the entire world. 

Visit the home of the Sun King, the Château de Versailles!

The Château de Versailles is an outright magnum opus and will enrich your travel itinerary if you do go and visit this majestic castle. It is the image of the French government and used to be the home of the Sun King Louis XIV just as his progeny Louis XV and Louis XVI. Take some time out in your day by visiting the Château de Versailles, yet additionally its gardens, the Petit Trianon, the Grand Trianon and the Hameau de la Reine!

It has been the French imperial residence for a long time, the Palais du Louvre has been a host to the Louvre Museum since 1793. 

The museum has been accumulating numerous bits of work of art from Ancient Egypt to the Romantic Period, the Louvre is a representation of the History of France.

Situated on the Ile de la Cité, the Notre Dame Cathedral was for quite a while the primary token of Paris, before the Eiffel Tower was assembled. 

It is by the route at the center of Victor Hugo’s tale Notre-Dame de Paris. In addition to other things, it was the venue of Napoleon Bonaparte’s royal celebration in 1804.
